The 'flat-cat' is designed to address obstacles to deployment of sea-going craft with fast-build frames capable of navigating littoral surfaces like sand-banks, beside open water.

A principal finding from our experience in pursuing eVTOLs is that vertical lift requires considerable expenditure of both capital costs and energy consumption.

Motion supported by planes or hydroskis like those here is consequenly a more practical and cost-effective use for the equipment used previously in achieving vertical flight.

Nonetheless development is being pursued with the addition of lift-motors able to raise such craft into ground-effect as a minimum, to enhance their operational flexibility.
